Message of Solidarity in Fight Against Anti-Semites
What had seemed like a demonstration "planned too late" has again become a challenge to
people everywhere in the struggle against bigotry.
The public rally organized for this Sunday afternoon in support of French Jewry again becomes a
necessity because of the renewed threats to the French Jewish community, the attack on a Jewish
tourist office and the murderous result.
The Detroit rally should be judged as a demonstration against all forms of anti-Semitism. It
signals the protest against indifference to the occurrences in some French ranks, and it is to be a
demonstration of solidarity with those who are threatened and all who mobilize to resist the bigots
and to continue the struggle against hatred for Jews wherever they may be.
In the process of asserting solidarity, the good people of France and everywhere will never be
forgotten: They are the majority who will not approve barbarism and inhumanities. This was
demonstrated in Paris when more than 100,000 paraded in protest against anti-Semitism and
rebuked authorities for failure to stem the anti-Semitic trends.
Those who demonstrated in Paris against the anti-Semites were a majority of young people. Here
and everywhere, when Jews demonstrate for justice and human rights, the participants will hope-
fully be predominantly the youth. That will provide the answer to the bestialities — that there will
never a bowing to bigotry and barbarities.

The present terrible state of affairs must be
ended. The first step is negotiations.
How easily one can be fooled by such sanctimony, even
with a concession that the actress means well! Is it possible

on Israel's borders would mean.

ing of Palestinians she and her cohorts should not overlook
the Jews who also are Palestinians. Exemplary is the role

rorist barbarians is that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism. It
is to the credit of George Cantor and the realists of this era
that they expose those hiding under an anti-Zionist cloak
and make the truth known.
