KIRYAT SHMONA —
Magen David Adorn (MDA)
personnel recently helped a
Southern Lebanese woman
give birth.
The woman, 20-year-old
Anisa Sheet of Klea, gave
birth while still in the am-
bulance, which had parked
at the entrance to the MDA
station. It was the 30th time
since the maternity hospital
here closed two years ago
that a baby has been born in
the region in an MDA am-
bulance.
NEW YORK — Actress
Tovah Feldshuh was asked
whether she wanted to
change her name when she
- arrived at the Guthrie The-
ater in Minneapolis.
"I couldn't think of any-
thing better, so I kept it,"
she says. "It's really an as-
set. Once someone learns
my name, they remember
it."
She laughed as she added,
"Tovah means good in He-
brew; Feldshuh means field
shoe. So I could have
changed my name to Go
Two Shoes."
Does segregation of chil-
dren in public schools solely
on the basis of race, even
though the physical
faicilities and other tangi-
ble factors may be equal,
deprive the children of the
minority group of equal
education opportunities?
We believe that it does .. .
We conclude that in the
field of public education, the
doctrine of 'separate but
equal' has no place. Sepa-
rate educational facilities
are inherently unequal.
