group which includes real
estate developer William
Zeckendorf, Jr., has pur-
chased Cunningham Drug
Stores, Inc. from the Shap-
ero Family.
The New York group in-
cludes Detroit developers
Spencer Partrich and Mic-
key Shapiro.
Ray Shapero will stay ,on
as president of Cunning-
ham's. His sister, Marianne
Shapero Schwartz, and her
husband, attorney Alan
Schwartz, were among the
family members who sold
their _stock. Alan Schwartz
also resigned from
Cunningham's board after
selling his stock.
Couple to Give
Lecture-Recital
Betty Kowalsky Stasson,
pianist and teacher, and
Jerome Stasson, violinist,
conductor, teacher, and fine
arts administrator, have
been invited to give a
lecture-recital for the De-
troit Musicians League
Tuesday at Marygrove Col-
lege.
Mrs. Stasson will speak
on "A Comparative
Analysis of Accompanying
Versus Solo Playing," while
her husband will talk on
"Accompanying the
Romantic String Litera-
ture." Together they will
perform compositions by
Brahms, Massenet, Rubins-
tein and Mendelssohn.
