Knesset Marks
B- G Yahrzeit

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
On the eve of the seventh
anniversary of the death of
Israel's first premier, David
Ben-Gurion, the Knesset
devoted a special session
last Wednesday in his
memory.
The main address was
made by Knesset speaker
Yitzhak Bermann, who
praised Ben-Gurion as the
man who radiated confi-
dence in time of doubts,
knew when to declare inde-
pendence, and introduced
the statehood to a new coun-
try composed of people from
many origins.
"Despite the fascinations
of philosophic literature
which he loved," Bermann
said "Ben-Gurion did not
follow doctrines blindly.
Despite his sometimes ag-
gressive style, his actions
demonstrated a belief in the
power of the compromise."

kitchen will be sold.
Chairing the event are
Mrs. Kenneth Safran and
Mrs. Henry Krolik, board
members, and Mesdames
Eva Meister, Lucy Kaplan
and Dorothy Zeigler, resi-
dents.
The public is invited free
of charge.
