Joey KoWalsky conducts this service which includes prayers, (in Hebrew and English), a teaching-Torah service and a summary of the Torah portion, stories, songs and refreshments. Kochavim members can re- ceive Sabbath attendance stamps at the conclusion of the service, before this group joins the senior con- gregation in the main sanctuary. The Nitzanim are rehearsing Hanuka songs for their next program, which will be pre- sented Nov. 30 at the Bed- ford Villa Nursing Home. Junior congregation (age 10-12), under the direction of adviser Barry Lippitt meets 10 a.m. every Sab- bath in the Klein Chapel. President Jimmy Sugar- man said that all members who participate in this serv- ice receive Sabbath attendance stamps, and re- freshments before joining the senior congregation services. Lippitt will give Hebrew or English reading portions to everyone who wants to participate. Parts are currently being distrib- uted for the special youth program which will be pre- sented Jan. 10 to demon- strate the synagogue skills studied in the junior con- gregation. Beth. Achim's youth commission mailed out 48 Hanuka packages to chil- dren of synagogue members who will be at college for the holiday.
