Rabbi Rothenberg was
graduated from Yeshiva
University and has
attended or holds degrees
from the New School for So-
cial Research, Baylor,
Dropsie and Lehigh Uni-
versities. He was ordained
at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan
Theological Seminary in
1944, and has held pulpits
in Florida, Texas and
Pennsylvania. From 1965 to
1971, he was rabbi for Cong.
Gates of Israel of Yeshiva
Rabbi Moses Soloveichik.
Rabbi Rothenberg was
founder and headmaster of
the Jewish Day School of Al-
lentown, Pa. He is author of
"The Role of the Jewish Day
School in American Educa-
tion."
He has been active in
Boy Scouts of America,
and was recipient of the
"Man of the Year" award,
chosen by the Jewish
Radio Forum.
The culmination of this
51st fund-raising campaign
will be celebrated on Dec. 16
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
