ton, Tex., died Oct. 13.
survived by his wife,
Sophie; two sons, Norton
and David; a daughter, Mrs.
Irving (Isadora) Korens of
West Bloomfield; a sister,
Evelyn of Detroit; and seven
grandchildren. Interment

died Oct. 23. She leaves her
husband, Harold; a son,
Scott; a daughter, Heidi; her
mother, Mrs. Hy (Annette)
Urnovitz; two brothers,
Harvey Urnovitz and Shel-

grandmothers, Mrs. Rae
Urnovitz and Mrs. Lena
Roth.

Dr. Herman,
Psychologist

Former Detroiter Dr.
Simon Herman, a promi-
nent New Mexico psychol-
ogist, died Sept. 25.
Dr. Herman was a
graduate of Wayne State
University and moved to
Albuquerque in 1956.
He was a past president
of the New Mexico
Psychological Associa-
tion, a former officer of
the American Psycholog-
ical Association and
former chairman of the
New Mexico State Board
of Examining Psychol-
ogists. He was a veteran
of World War II.
He is survived by wife,
Bernice; three daughters,
Mrs. Keith (Marsha) Betzin
and Mrs. Jeffrey (Susan)
Livingstone, both of Still-
water, Okla., and Mrs. John
(Nancy) Gould of Tucson,
Ariz.; his mother, Mrs.
Sarah Herman of South-
field; three brothers, Harry
of Southfield, Al 'of Los
Angeles and Dr. Bernard of
Albuquerque; a sister, Mrs.
Saul (Lillian) Borden of
Southfield; and a
granddaughter. Interment
Albuquerque.

Jennie Rechtman

Jennie Rechtman, a
member of Jewish com-
munal organizations, died
Oct. 15 in Richmond, Calif.
She was 89.
Born in Warsaw, Poland,
Mrs. Rechtman was a
member in Detroit of the
C. " tochover Rajoner Ver-
e_ Ind Pioneer Women,
Hadassah, Bnai Brith
Women and Women's
American ORT. A former
Detroiter, she was living in
Richmond at the time of her
death.
She is survived by three
sons, Leon, Edwin and Mel-
vin of Atlanta, Ga.; a
daughter, Belle Peritz of
Berkeley, Calif.; 15
grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.

With man, as with apples,
one rotten spoils the others.

RAE GINSBERG, 75,
died Oct. 25. She leaves her
husband, Louis; and a
brother, Joe Cohne of New
York.
