The troupe will be coming from Mexico, where it was the guest of the Mexican government. The Israeli entertainers were in Mexico as part of its International Folk Festival. Begun in Vilna as a small ensemble, the forerunner of Anachnu Khan built itself up into a respected entertainment troupe which appeared before Jewish audiences through- out the, Soviet Union. In 1971, its membership emi- grated to Israel, where the troupe was reorganized, and added Israeli songs and dances to its repertoire. It has since toured the U.S. and Canada and ap- peared before the second International Confer- ence on behalf of Soviet Jews in Brussels.
