on Monday denouncing the
"radical religious right" as
extremist and dangerous.

statement included Rabbi

The statement used
Moral Majority as an exam-
ple and derided right-wing
Christian groups for their

In a communication to
The Jewish News from Au-
stin, Tex., Walter Cohen
gives an account of an un-
usual family reunion held
last July 4.
The reunion, which was
held in Memphis, Tenn.,
was the result of Cohen's ef-
fort to trace his family roots.

(Dorothy) Masserman and
Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon
(Sally) Simon of Southfield
were among the partici-
pants at the July 4 event.
