honor Dr. Eli M. Brown,
chairman of the Depart-
ment of Anesthesiology at
Sinai Hospital since 1954
and professor and chair-
man, Department of Anes-
thesiology at Wayne State
University School of
Medicine. Dr. Brown will be
the recipient of Israel's
Maimonides Award in
recognition "of his out-
standing contributions to
the cause of
humanitarianism."
In addition to serving
as Sinai chief of staff, Dr.
Jacobs is chairman of the
department of urology. A
graduate of Wayne State
University's medical
school, he was a member
of Sinai's first intern
class.

broil it first)

1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs
garlic powder
onion powder
Brown onion until transpa-
rent and golden. Cover giblets
(except liver) with boiling
water and let simmer covered
for one-half hour. Mix veal with
egg, crumbs and spices to
taste. Form small meatballs
and brown with the onions.
Add onions, meatballs and
gravy from skillet to giblets
and simmer together for two
hours, or until giblets are ten-
der. If necessary, add a little
more water or 1/4 cup white
wine.
