This is a big challenge for
Reid, whose Golden Mush-
room ranks among the city's
finest eating spots .. The
threat is always the
re of
people not being satisfied at
Hamilton Place and taking
it out on the Golden Mush-
room.
However, folks must
realize the difference be-
tween formal and informal
dining . . . Amazing how
different food sometimes
seems to taste when you're
wearing gym shoes or not
wearing a tie.
With Milos supervising
both operations . . . Bill
Wolf is chef at Hamilton
Place . . . and Keigh
Matherly at Golden
Mushroom.
Casual Sneakers is open a
Hamilton Place. . . and
Cafe Rouge has a few weeks
to go.
Reid's ideas for livening
things up are excellent ..
and people will be glad he
took up General Manager
Bill Poole's offer to come
over.
SAMMY LIEBERMAN
and Mark Stein are caterers
for both Temple Israel and
Temple Beth El.

Bernikow Volume
'Among Women'

Author Louise Bernikow
explores virtually un-
charted terrain in her new
book, "Among Women"
(Harmony Books).
Ms. Bernikow uses a
poet's voice and a scholar's

of association women forge
in relationships with other
women, She explores the
women in the life of such
people as Colette, Virginia
Woolf, Mary Stuart,
Elizabeth Tudor, Natalie
Barney, Katherine Man-
sfield, Gertrude Stein and
Elizabeth Stein.
Louise Bernikow is a cri-
tic and a poet whose books
include "The World Split
Open" and "Abel." She lives
in New York and lectures
around the country.
