But the Student Strug- gle for Soviet Jewry said that reports from the Soviet Union which reached the Interna- tional Committee for Anatoly Shcharansky, headed by Rep. Robert Drinan (D-Mass.), said that Shcharansky had suddenly collapsed while at work in the Perm labor camp and was taken to the camp's hospital, a move usually reserved only for inmates who are quite ill. At the time of his col- lapse, the SSSJ said, Shcharansky had also been notified that the visit of his mother and brother scheduled for December was cancelled, possibly in retal- iation for a strong letter he had sent to President Leonid Brezhnev complain- ing about the severe condi- tions in the camp. The SSSJ also said that a film, "Lies and Hatred," which attacked Shcharansky and his wife Avital, was shown on Soviet television recently. Meanwhile, the SSSJ re- ported that there is a dearth of Hebrew teachers and books in Russia. It reported there are some 30 "unofficial" Hebrew teachers in Moscow and one in Kiev. Most of the refus- niks learn Hebrew on their own. Anti-Semitism in Amsterdam AMSTERDAM (JTA) — At least three Jewish organ- izations here have received anti-Semitic pamphlets during the past week. The three are the Jewish Cul- tural Center, the Maimonides Lyceum and Habonim, the Labor Zinoist youth organization. The pamphlets show soldiers in Nazi uniforms trampling Jews, and state: "Amster- dam is not for Jews."
