Ella Kamins Ella Kamins, an active fund raiser on behalf of Lansing's Cong. Shaarey Zedek and Hadassah, died Oct. 11 at age 81. _ A native Detroiter, Mrs. Kamins lived in Lansing for 50 years. She was a co- founder of Lansing Iron and Metal. She was among the founding families of the congregation. For many years Mrs. Kamins opened her home to Jewish Michigan State University students, prior to the establishment of the Hillel Foundation head- quarters on campus. She leaves a son, Ernest of Oak Park; eight grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Detroit, Mr. Rosenberg was an officer and director of the Michigan Extruded Aluminum Corp. and Detroit Window Corp. and was affiliated with other companies dealing with building materials, development and real es- tate. He was a member of Adat Shalom Synagogue and its men's club, Michigan Drywall Con- tractors Association, Zager-Stone Lodge of Bnai Brith, United States Trotting Association, Michigan Harness Asso- ciation and Michigan Breeders Association. He was active in the breeding and running of trotting and pacer horses for many years. He leaves his wife, Phyl- lis; a son, Marc; a daughter, Lydia; his mother, Mrs. Aaron (Ida) Rosenberg; and three brothers, Lester, Nat and Edward. Ira Rodman Ira Rodman, vice president and general man- ager of the Hale Steel Co. in Southfield, died Oct. 14 at age 63. Born in New York, Mr. Rodman was a member of Pisgah Lodge of Bnai Brith and Craftsman Lodge of the Masons. He leaves his wife, Theda; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Korn; his mother, Mrs. Harry (Tillie) Rodman; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Kaduson of Roslyn Heights, N.Y., and Mrs. Bernard (Shirley) Davis; and one grandson. Michael Kanat Michael Kanat, co-owner of United Products Corp., wholesale building supply company, died Oct. 14 at age 39.
