Chatham Has
Consumer Aids

Bernard-Stein, president
of Chatham Super Markets,
announced the introduction
of a new consumer informa-
tion center, called a "Refer-
ence Carousel," now in all
45 Detroit-area stores.
"The Reference
Carousel," Stein said, "is
Chatham's response to
President Carter's procla-
mation of National Con-
sumer Education Week."
Nearly one million pam-
phlets on a variety of sub-
jects are available at no
charge to all customers from
revolving displays. Subjects
covered by the pamphlets
include nutrition, food grad-
ing, selection, storage,
preparation, serving
suggestions, party ideas,
canning, freezing, house-
hold hints, shopping tips,
money saving ideas and
microwave cooking.
Another 24 pamphlets on
fresh produce are available
in Chatham's produce de-
partments.
