JARC Dedicates Newest Haverim Home This Sunday

zens in dedicating the
JARC's new Haverim Home
on Sunday at 27030 Devon-
shire, Southfield.
Nettie Deutch, chairman

tions.

She has been a soloist
with the DSO on two occa-
sions and is a member of the
Michigan Trio.
Saltzman began his mus-
ical training at age 11. He
has taught and performed
extensively. He held the
post as principal cellist of
the Hong King Philhar-
monic, for two years.
Saltzman joined the DSO in
May 1979.
Born in Lwow, Poland,
Chajes was the honor
prize winner at the First
International Competi-
tion for pianists in Vie-
nna, and one year later
was appointed head of
the piano department at
the Music College in Tel
Aviv.
Chajes came to the
United States in 1937.
Chajes' compositions are in
the repertoire of renowned
artists. Since November
1940, Chajes has been the
conductor of the Center
Symphony Orchestra and
has been on the faculty of
Wayne State University
since 1950.
