United Hebrew Schools Has Bnai Brith Women to Honor
Youth Leadership Seminar Mrs. Charlupski at Lunch

United Hebrew Schools
has designed a youth lead-
ership seminar for students
age 16_ and 17 to become
more effective camp coun-
selors and youth leaders.
It is a series of 10 consecu-
tive sessions, beginning
noon Sunday at United He-
brew Schools main build-
ing.
The topics to be discussed
are: Understanding Group
Dynamics, Developing

Creative Jewish Pro grams
and Learning About Jewish
Sources. Participants in the
seminar will receive a cer-
tificate of youth leadership.
The seminar will be con-
ducted by Happy Feigel-
son, Dr. Gerald A. Teller
and Renee Wohl. There is a
registration fee.

Council of Metropolitan De-
troit will hold its annual
special gifts luncheon to
benefit the Bnai Brith
Youth and Services Appeal
noon Nov. 6 at Temple Beth
El. A minimum contribu-
tion is required.
Evelyn Tichik, president
of the Bnai Brith Women's
Council, has appointed Syl-
via Ross, special gifts
chairman; Eadie Albion,
luncheon chairman; and
Blanche Bauman, services
appeal chairman.
The luncheon will honor
Franka Charlupski, who
with her husband Allen, has
been active in efforts on be-
half of many Jewish causes
both here and in Israel.
A survivor of the con-
centration camps, Mrs.
Charlupski was the
chairman for three years
of the local Israel Bonds
women's division. She is
currently a member of

JERUSALEM — Labor
Party leader Shimon Peres
and former Premier Yit-
zhak Rabin announced over
the weekend that they will
seek the party's nomination
to lead Labor in the next
election.
Both men are described to
be very similar in their poli-
tics, but a bitter animosity
exists between them.
In 1974, Peres barely lost
the party's nomination to
Rabin and Rabin later ac-
cused Peres of undermining

The bride is the daughter
