Mrs. Hermelin, an Is- rael Bond "Woman of Valor," will be presented with the State of Israel 1980 Serigraph Award, created by Israeli artist Samuel Bak. Presentation of the award will be by Leah Snider, Women's Division chairman. Col. Peleg Tamir, one of the pioneers of Israel's Air Force, will ,be guest speaker. Others on the podium will be Frieda Stollman, "Bond Between Us" chairman, and Cantor Chaim Najman of Shaarey Zedek, who will present a concert of songs in several languages. Col. Peleg is currently di- rector general of the Man- ufacturers' Association of Israel. He is also a member of the boards of Israel Air- craft Industries, El Al Israel Airlines, the First Interna- tional Bank of Israel and of the newly established World Trade Center - Israel. As a member of the Israel COLONEL TAMIR Air Force for two dec- ades, Col. Tamir fulfilled numerous top-level as- signments. In the Six-Day War, he served as chief ad- jutant to Gen. Mordechai Hod, commanding officer of the Israel Air Force. He was later responsible for the ex- change and return of Israeli pilots captured in Arab countries during the war.
