Stern to Address Hadassah-Midrasha Class

Dr. Guy Stern, vice
president and provost of
Wayne State University,
will present a lecture on
"Prosecution of War Crimes
Have No Time Limitation"
11 a.m. Thursday at the
main United Hebrew
Schools building. Dr. Stern
will be the third lecturer in
the five week Midrasha-
Hadassah Mini-mester
series. His lecture will be

preceded by classes at 10
a.m. and followed by a
kosher luncheon.
Dr. Stern has studied at
Hofstra College and
Columbia University,
where he received MA and
PhD degrees. He has held
professorships at the Uni-
versity of Maryland, Uni-
versity of Cincinnati,
Columbia University and at
Wayne State University.

MARTIN M. COWAN, D.D.S.

Dr. Stern is the author
and editor of language
texts, scholarly bookS, arti-
cles, reviews and several
translations. He has been a
Fulbright Research fellow
and a Bolingen Research
fellow. He has also been in-
volved in work study pro-
grams in Hamburg spon-
sored by the Office of Educa-
tion.

Plans to Marry

MISS FENKELL
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Fen-
kell of West Bloomfield an-
nounce the engagement of
their daughter, Sherri Ann,
to Walter Lewitz, son of Mr.
Esther Lewitz of Southfield.
Miss Fenkell earned a
BSN degree in nursing at
the University of Michigan.
Her fiance earned a BA de-
gree at Michigan State
University.
A late fall wedding is
planned.

last week. They included

and Emanuel J. Harris.
The members of the class
were given "M" pins by the
Alumni Association and
also received trophies.
Satovsky is a past president
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield.
The Michigan Bar Asso-
ciation also honored a long
list of 50-year law
graduates last week. Those
being honored included
John M. Wise, now a Wayne
County Circuit Court judge;
Irwin A. Klar, past
president of Cong. Beth Ab-
raham; and David Miro, an-
