"One of our major pre- sentations of the year was `Avenue of the Just,' " Sid- ney Darion said. Darion is alos manager of ABC News Public Affairs Programm- ing. "Avenue of the Just" documents the stories of 10 Christians who risked their lives to save Jews during the Nazi Holocaust. It is part of the league's "Dateline Israel" series of radio and television pro- grams. /., 4%/re. / &/• 44,,/,' ,••.„ ADL White Paper on Middle East Aimed at Clergy NEW YORK — The Anti-Defamation League of Bnai Brith is distributing "A White Paper: The Middle East Today" to Christian clergy church officials and lay leaders in an effort to clarify the basic issues of the Arab-Israeli conflict. According to Rabbi Ronald B. Sobel, chairman of ADL's program commit- tee, advance copies of the publication — a series of questions and answers — have been sent to the group of church executives and staff now preparing a policy statement on the Middle East for submission to the November meeting of the National • Council of Churches' Governing Board in New York. Troubled Jordan CHICAGO (ZINS) — A Chicago Times correspon- dent interviewed Palesti- nians and Jordanians in Amman and Rabat, asking if Jordan should be reconsti- tuted as a Palestinian re- public since 50 percent of its population was Palestinian. The overwhelming re- sponse was negative be- cause conditions would wor- sen, the correspondent re- ported.
