sued this fall in a new trans-
lation by the author's son,
Joseph Singer. Originally
published in 1936, the new
edition of the novel will be
published in November by
Atheneum publishers.
College Holocaust Series
to Host Saul Friedlander
Saul Friedlander of Tel
Aviv University in Israel
will give the third lecture in
the series "After Auschwitz:
Vision or Void?" sponsored
by Mercy College of Detroit.
He will speak on "After Au-
schwitz: Memory and
Knowledge" at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday.
The lecture series is part
of Mercy College's
Holocaust Education Proj-
ect that includes an art ex-
hibit and dialogues with
community groups.
The art exhibit features
the paintings of Anna
Walinska. It is free and
open to the public, Oct. 20-
Nov. 1.
There is no admission
charge for the lectures,
held on the Mercy cam-
pus, 8200 W. Outer Drive,
Detroit.
The lecture series is sup-
ported in part by grants
from Mercy College, Michi-
gan Council for the
Humanities and Jewish
Community Council of Met-
ropolitan Detroit.
