opening . . . Oak Park is
dry.
MANY OF HER cus-
tomers and friends sadly
say goodby to Coleen Rein-
bolt, waitress at Kingsley
Inn, Nosherie and Irving's,
who recently passed away
. . . They'll remember her
never arguing ways and
quiet, efficient abilities in
doing things with a pleas-
ant smiling face . . . To
other waitresses and her
employers Coleen was a
good friend.
COMEDY CASTLE,
temporarily now at Staf-
ford's in Orchard Mall, Or-
chard Lake Rd. and Maple
(15), has one show each
Wednesday and Thursday,
9 to 11 . . . Friday and
Saturday are two shows,
9:30 and 11 . . . Wednesday
is new talent night plus
Comedy Castle regulars.
LOVING CUP is at the
Meridian Restaurant in
Pontiac Airport Terminal
Bldg., M-59 west of Airport
Rd. . . . Tuesday through
Saturday til Nov. 1.
NEXT DOOR to Restau-
rant Duglass on Southfield
in the Farrell Shopping
Plaza is its The Brasserie
. . . with "The Swell Club"
on Wednesdays and Thurs-
days . . . for cocktails,
dancing and dinner music
from 5 p.m. on Wednesdays
and from 6 p.m. on Thurs-
days . . . The "Thursday
Evening Affair" has a spe-
cial cocktail party 6-8 p.m.
. . . with complimentary
hors d' oeuvre4 and music
for listening and dancing.
Those who desire dinner
have an entree from a
famous old restaurant, ap-
petizer, salad and dessert,
$12 . . . Reservations are
suggested.
MIKE CHUDLER is
now a Chuck Muer trainee
. . at Diggers on Grand
R
. iver .. learning Chuck's
successfu
l ways of doing
things . . . Mike is bartend-
ing, etc. . . . Manager at
Diggers is John Campbell
. . . It's the former Clam-
diggers.
THERE ARE only two
ways to make no-cholesterol
Egg Beaters . . . right and
wrong . . . This is probably
why a lot of restaurants
don't want to take a chance
on serving the egg whites
only . . . At least one deli-
catessen, Irving's, on
Greenfield and 11 Mile, is
featuring Egg Beaters now
. . . They have 10 different
omelettes . . . Spanish,
Western, plain, mushroom,
etc., including combina-
tions . . . and even scram-
bled . . . When made right
you can't tell the difference.
Funniest bit was woman
coming in recently and ask-
ing for Egg Beaters sun-
nyside up . . . insisting she
had them the day before
. . . If the lassie can make
sunnyside out of egg whites
she's a true miracle worker!
THE DELI on Drake and
Grand River . .opening
Oct. . . . in the Muirwood
Plaza . .will have a do-
it-yourself salad bar to
make your own Julienne,

regular or whatever . . .
It'll be the first delicatessen
I know of to have a salad bar
. . . unless memory doesn't
serve us correctly.
