NCJW Plans Fashion Show
"Real Clothes for Real
People" will be the focus of
the paid-up membership
luncheon of the Greater De-
troit Section, National
Council of Jewish Women,
to be held noon Sept. 23 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The afternoon fashion
show will feature knits,
classics, western wear and
city clothes.

and in jazz concerts in the
Detroit area.
Budson began playing
keyboards profession-
ally in local clubs at age
15 while still in high
school and later in col-
lege. He played piano
with the Austin-Moro
band and participated
with them in the Mon-
treux Jazz Festival in
1973. Tours with the
Buddy Rich Orchestra,
jazz guitarist, Earl Klugh,
and the vocal group, the
Four Tops followed from
1974 to 1976.
Club and concert work in-
cluded back-up musician for
Sammy Davis Jr., Mel
Torme, and Charles
McPherson are among his
experiences. He performs
with his wife, jazz vocalist
Ursula Walker.
Budson has.also done ar-
ranging and composing for
vocaliSts, ensembles and big
bands including Ms.
Walker, the Brookside Jazz
Ensemble and Marcus
Belgrave's Big Band. In
addition, he has worked as a
studio recording musician
on commercial albums and
in broadcast commercials.
