. . . especially at breakfast
and lunch . . . Although
Harry, one of the few re-
maining "old time" deli
men, still walks the floors,
his help knows what to do
. . . they've been at it a long
time . . . and are proficient
in the biggest asset of all .. .
knowing that the main pur-
pose of a good employee is
satisfying customers of the
place where she or he is
working.
NO CHARGE TO see

Second Avenue" by Scottish
Rite Players, Sept. 21, in the
small auditorium of
Masonic Temple . . . How-
ever, tickets are required
and can be obtained by mail

A NEW "LATE Nite
Menu" has been instituted
at Chuck Muer's Top of the
Pontch of Hotel Pontchart-
rain in response to more late
night adverturers and
show-goers downtown .. .
with hors d'oeuvres, light
entrees and desserts for
after the theater or to ac-
company an evening of
dancing and cocktails.
Grandparents finally got
their "day" recently and
every Churk Muer restau-
rant went all out to observe
the nation's newest special
day . . . Grandparents re-
ceived complimentary car-
nations if they showed
photos of their
grandchildren (and what
grandparents wouldn't?) .. .
To encourage families to
dine together that day, chil-
dren aged 10 and under had
choice from the children's
menu free, if they brought
their grandparents to
dinner . . . Chuck also in-
troduced a novel Adopt-A-
Grandparent idea . . .
"There are many
grandparents who had no
one in town to take them out
on that day," he said. "We
wanted to encourage some-
one to adopt those
grandparents and take
them out to eat, so we ac-
cepted adopted
grandparents under the
10-year-olds-eat-free offer,
also."
Grandparents Day was
officially authorized na-
tionally last year by
President Carter . . . This
year the National Restau-
rant Association helped
sponsor the event.
