EVERY YEAR it's the
same story ... How in the
world does she do it? . . . Be-
lieve you me, folks, coor-
dinating the local Jerry
Lewis Muscular Dystrophy
Telethon on Sunday and
Monday of Labor Day
weekend is no small chore
. . . but Mary Lou Zieve has
it down pat and in her vest
pocket by now .. .
It's true that she starts
immediately after the 24-
hours end in raising funds
for Muscular Dystrophy .. .
but the telethon chore be-
gins only four months prior
. . . that's a lot of unbelieva-
ble work put into such a
short time . . . Then again,
Mary Lou and her very fine
staff are excellent coor-
dinators.
TV-2's Joe Glover and
Mary Lou make a superb
team for Jerry's endeavors
here . . . Don't know if there
is anybody like them in the
nation.
Disa 'n Data backstage
during the telethon .. .

hubby, singing commercials

middleweight, looking at
the clock for stroke of 12
midnight . . . That's when
he became 22 years old .. .
and Labor Day was his per-
sonal nationwide celebra-
tion . .
Mickey is in the same
Kronk Recreation stable of

Steward, and ready to
follow Hilmer Kenty,
lightweight champ, and
Tommy Hearns,
welterweight king, into the
national limelight.

looks like a small suitcase
with long straps . . . Dorian

for five years.

RUMOR MONGERS
sure don't know what
they're talking about when
telling that the Raleigh
Square Marketplace owners
are of Arabic origin . . . Be-
dros Avedian and Jean
Mahroukian are Armenian
and Rockwell Gust is Irish.
Sunday will be an
auction at Raleigh
Square Marketplace site
(former Raleigh House) .. .
conducted by DuMouchelle

chandeliers, kitchen-
equipment, doors, windows,
drapes, etc. . . . Preview for
folks to see what they'll bid
on will be at 10 a.m. . . . and
the sale is set for 12 noon.
After the auction will be
demolition time, with the
interior walls coming down
. . . and then construction
begins on Raleigh Square
Marketplace.
50th ANNIVERSARY
party for Faye and Morris
Woll, given by their chil-

among the very pleasantly
surprised was Barbara
Press, who hadn't seen
Sandra in over 40 years.

JOKE DEPT. . . . about
the Jewish businessman
who was persuaded to use a
dictaphone on a trial basis,
and if he liked it, he could
buy it . . . The next day the
dictaphone representative
called at his office and asked
him how the machine was
. . . "Well, I'll tell you," said
the customer, "it ain't so
bad, but it talks with an
awful accent."
