JNF Announces Holiday Hours

During the High Holy
Day season, the Jewish Na-
tional Fund office will be
closed as follows:
Wednesday, after 1 p.m.;
Sept. 11 and 12; Sept. 19,

after 1 p.m.; Sept. 25 and 26;
and Oct. 2 and 3.
Beginning Sunday, the
office will be open Sundays,
as usual, from 10 a.m. to 1
p.m.

Mrs. Nettie Green, a past
president of the David-
Horodoker Women's Organ-
ization and member of the
Jewish National Fund, the
City of Hope, and the
Women's Auxiliary of the
Jewish Home for the Aged,
has ordered a grove of 1,000
trees to be planted in the
American Bicentennial
Forest in Israel, in memory
of her husband, Morris
Green, and her daughter,
Doris Green Hollo.
Morris Green was born in
Lithuania. He emigrated
first, to Toronto, Canada,
and then came to Detroit in

1912. At the time of his
death in 1976, he and his
wife Nettie had been mar-
ried for 55 years.
The owner of the Bon-Tel
Building Co., Mr. Green
built single homes and
apartments and engaged in
land development in Bir-
mingham and in Detroit. He
was a member of Pisgah
Lodge of Bnai Brith and
Cong. Bnai Israel-Beth
Yehuda Synagogue.
Their daughter, Doris
Green Hollo, was born in
Detroit, and lived in
Southfield when she died
on March 30, 1979. She
managed an apartment
building which she
owned.
Besides her mother, Mrs.
Hollo is survived by two
sons, Harvey DeWite and
Lawrence Green-Hollo, and
by one daughter, Deborah
Provin.
