Detroiters Join
Mission in Israel

Five Detroiters were
among the community
leaders who participated in
the recent Prime Minister's
Mission to Israel.
Marvin H. Goldman,
Daniel M. Honigman,
David S. Mondry, Jewell
Morris and Lester J. Morris
joined more than 200 other
delegates as guests of Prime
Minister Menahem Begin
for the four-day United
Jewish Appeal mission.
The leaders attended
briefings with Israeli of-
ficials, including
President Yitzhak Na-
von, Deputy Prime
Minister Yigael Yadin
and Jewish Agency
Chairman Aryeh Dulzin.
The mission, which
began Aug. 24, culmi-
nated with a reception
and dinner at the Knesset
hosted by Begin.
Delegates also met with
residents of Israel's distres-
sed Project Renewal
neighborhoods, toured the
new Ramon air base under
construction by the U.S.,
and David Ben-Gurion's
former home in Kibutz Sde
Boker.
