WHAT KIND OF JEW ARE YOU?

Your faith and values have been forged out of the visions and traditions of
millions of Jews throughout history. That heritage has been passed on from
generation to generation through synagogues all over the world for over 2,000
years.

Synagogues cannot continue to preserve the heritage of our fathers and shape
the destinies of our children unless we help keep the synagogue vital and alive
and growing to meet the changing needs of our changing times and not just by
an occasional thought.

To reinforce the role of the Synagogue as it continues its historic mission of
identifying new areas of need and awakening the conscience of the community
to meet them, it is IMPORTANT that YOU become a member of a Synagogue,
if you do not already belong.

Provide your child with a Jewish education and, by active participation in
Synagogue programs, strengthen and unite your family.

THE SYNAGOGUE IS THE CENTRAL INSTITUTION OF JEWISH LIFE AND
CONTINUES TO SERVE AS A HOUSE OF PRAYER, HOUSE OF STUDY,
AND HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

The policy of the memders of the Synagogue Council, listed below, is that NO
FAMILY WILL BE TURNED AWAY FROM SYNAGOGUE MEMBERSHIP
BECAUSE OF LIMITED FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. A most cordial wel-
come will be extended to all who desire affiliation with a Synagogue.

FOR YOUR SAKE, WE CALL UPON YOU AND EVERY JEWISH FAMILY IN
THE GREATER METROPLITAN DETROIT AREA TO BECOME A MEMBER
OF A SYNAGOGUE.

CAN YOU DO ANY LESS FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN?
