Every human being is
endowed by his Maker with
two eyes. With one he is ex-
pected to look at his
neighbor, fastening his gaze
on his virtues, his excel-
lences, his desirable qual-
ities. With the other eye, he
is to turn inward to see his
own weaknesses, his imper-
fections and his shortcom-
ings, in order to correct
them.

Rabbi Urges

Wallenberg as
Sermon Topic

NEW YORK (JTA) —
Rabbi Morton Narrowe,
chief rabbi of Stockholm,
has urged chief rabbis
throughout the Western
world to remember Raoul
Wallenberg when they pre-
pare their sermons for the
High Holy Days.
Wallenberg, who saved
the lives of thousands of
Jews in Budapest in 1944, is
believed to be a prisoner in
the Soviet Union.

The guardian angels of
life sometimes fly so high as
to be beyond our sight, but
they are always looking
down upon us.

inches apart and 2 inches from
edge of cookie sheet. Flatten
slightly; bake at 350 degrees F.

diagonal slices; turn slices
onto sides. Combine remain-

cinnamon-sugar over slices;
continue baking 7 minutes.
Turn slices over; sprinkle with
remaining cinnamon-sugar.
