Ruthe Stein will serve as
director and teacher of the
new Troy branch. Mrs.
Stein has been associated
with the UHS since 1941.
She received her training in
the UHS and Midrasha. She
earned a BA degree at
Wayne State University.
- Rachel Carmi will be di-
rector and teacher at the
new branch at the main
Jewish Community Center.
Mrs. Carmi has studied at
the Musical Academy of Tel
Aviv and the University of
Minnesota, where she
earned a BA degree. She
also received a BA degree
and teacher's certificate
from the Midrasha. Mrs.
Carmi received an MA de-
gree in educational psy-
chology at Wayne State
University. She has taught
in the Detroit area for eight
years.

Acker were married re-
cently at Kingsley Inn.
Rabbi Harold Loss of Tem-

bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred 'Green of
West Bloomfield. Parents of
the bridegroom are Mr. and
Mrs. Edwin L. Acker of Oak
Park.
