Temple Israel will hold its
final Shabat service at the
Manderson Road building
8:30 p.m. Aug. 29.
The congregation is in the
process of moving to it% new
building at 5725 Walnut
Lake Rd., West Bloomfield.
Rabbi Leon Fram, found-
ing rabbi, will deliver the
sermon: "Farewell to a Be-
loved Sanctuary." Evelyn
Orbach, wife of Cantor
Harold Orbach of the tem-
ple, will celebrate her Bat
Mitzva. A reception in
honor of the Bat Mitzva will
follow.

"Summertree," "Who Is
Harry Kellerman" and "The
Sporting Club." More re-
cently, he was seen in
"Death on the Nile" and
"The Champ."

He spearheaded televi-
sion's best offerings,
"Playhouse 90," "The
General Electric Thea-
ter," "Alcoa," "Kraft,"
"Philco" and
"Goodyear." On Broad-
way, he appeared in re-
cent years in "Stages"
and. Robert Shaw's con-
troversial "The Man in
the Glass Booth."
At the personal invitation
of Arthur Miller, he joined
the cast of NET-TV's "A
Memory of Two Mondays"
having been in the Broad-
way production of the same
play in a different role 15
years earlier.
HOWARD W. KOCH'S
production of "Airplane!" a
spoof dealing with the craze
of the "Airport" series of
blockbusters which now has
petered out, is another un-
suspected box office success.
DAVID MERRICK'S
"Rough Cut," in spite of the
glittering frame of jet set
living, is not as lucky. Based
on Derek Lambert's novel,
"A Touch of the Lion's Paw,"
with a screenplay by Larry
Gelbart, directed by Don
Siegel (with Robert Emmet
Miller contributing a new
ending), the story of jewel
thieves, romance and decep-
tion didn't muster enough

excitement for today's audi-
ence in spite of the suave
Burt Reynolds, the glamor-
ous Lesley-Anne Down and
the dignified David Niven.
RICHARD DREY-
FUSS, who has com-
pleted his starring part as
a concert pianist in "The
Competition," now goes be-
fore the cameras at Metro-
Goldwyn-Mayer in the sc-
reen adaptation of the
Broadway play, "Whose
Life Is It Anyway" by Brian
Clark.
