tee are Robert A. Steinberg
and Drs. Paul R. Lichter
- and David E. Schteingart.
Dr. Lichter is president of
Beth Israel; Dr. Schteingart
was president of the congre-
gation from 1974 to 1979.

education for handicapped
children. The program is
under the auspices of the

WASHINGTON (JTA) —
Malcolm Fraser, Australian
prime minister, has been
awarded the Bnai Brith In-
ternational President's
Gold Medal for humanita-
rian service, according to
Jack Spitzer, Bnai Brith
president.
Spitzer said the award
recognized Fraser's sus-
tained opposition to dis-
crimination on the basis of
race, creed or color, his
commitment to providing in
Australia a haven for the
dispossessed from many
parts of the world, and his
"contribution to the cause of
freedom and peace."
The award will be pre-
sented to Fraser during the
Bnai Brith International
Biennial convention here
Sept. 1.

and dance, Shabat serv-
ices and cooking activi-
ties.
A unique feature of this
program is the correlated
Chaverim (Friend) pro-
gram. This is composed of
selected seventh and eighth
grade students from the
regular religious school who
act as aids for the special
children.
