Cancer Patient
Service Offered
The American Cancer
Society is offering a new
support service to cancer
patients who are hos,-
pitalized or homebound.
The CanSurmount Visi-

for persons who are unable
to attend community self-

the need to talk with other
cancer patients. The ACS
volunteers, themselves
patients or family members,
have been trained by health
care professionals to pro-
vide psycho-social support
through personal and phone
visits.
Patient or family mem-
bers who would like to avail
themselves of this service,
should contact the Ameri-
can Cancer Society, 557-
5353, ext. 19. Volunteer vis-
itors also are needed.
I don't like money, ac-
tually, but it quiets my
nerves.
