Bond Between Us Drive
Frieda Stollman has ac-
cepted the role of chairman
of the Metro Detroit State of
Israel Bonds' second annual
"Bond Between Us" cam-
paign and luncheon, it was
announced by Leah Snider,
local Israel Bond Women's
Division chairman.
The luncheon will be held
net. 22 at Cong. Shaarey
'.ek. Geared to helping
-pply Israel with im-
mediate low interest loan
dollars, last year's "Bond
Between Us" Luncheon
gained almost $500,000 for
the Jewish nation.
In accepting the luncheon
chairmanship, Mrs.
Stollman said, We all know
how valuable to Israel's de-
velopment this event can
be. Israel Bond loans are a
real force for Israel's eco-
nomic security: a new era of
Jewish life is beginning in
the Negev, and to accom-
plish this massive develop-
ment will cost billions of
dollars. Bringing the Negev
to life — and life to the
Negev — cannot be post-
poned, nor can Israel do it
alone! It is truly up to us to
In addition to her par-
ticipation in Israel
Bonds, Mrs. Stollman is
vice president of the
Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion and the national
president of American
Women for Bar-Ilan Uni-
versity. She is the co-
founder, with her hus-
band and brother-in-law,
of Akiva Hebrew Day
School and Bar-Ilan and
is a past president and
past campaign chairman
of the Jewish Welfare
Federation Women's Di-
vision; past president of
the Jewish National
Fund; and a past co-
chairman of the Detroit
Israel Bond Women's Di-
vision.
