Brothers in Maccabia Soccer
Competition in Venezuela

Brothers Brian and Scott
Kronick were in Venezuela
recently with the U.S. Mac-
cabia soccer team.
The goodwill journey for
the 16-member team, their
coach, manager, interpreter
and a representative of U.S.
Committee for Sports for Is-
rael made June 24-July 4
was an outgrowth of a meet-
ing a year earlier at the Pan
American games in Mexico.
The games were played at
Hebraica Hall, a Jewish
club in Caracas. All three
games ended with a 3-1
score, with the Americans
winning the second game
and the Venezuelans win-
ning the first and third con-
tests.
Scott, who will be a
senior and captain this
year of the Carman High
School varsity soccer
team, played 'midfield.
Brian, a junior and
member of the Cornell

University varsity soccer
team, was a defenseman.
The American team was
awarded a trophy. Each
player was given a medal.
They were coached by
Marty Goldberg of Long Is-
land, N.Y.
