elected president of the Oak
Park Civic Chorus for the
1980-1981 program year.
Other officers are:
William Rolnick, vice
president; Irene Pianin,
treasurer; and Marvin Vic-
tor, Shirley Belkin, Pearl
Kaplan and Margie Silk,
secretaries.
The choir rehearses 7:30
p.m. ever Monday night at
Oak Park High School. The
first rehearsal of the new
season will be held Sept. 8.
Singers in all voice
parts are invited to join
the chorus. An audition
and payment of dues are
required.

Medieval Festival
in Ann Arbor

Medieval Festival will be
held Saturday and Sunday
at the University of Michi-
gan School of Music grounds
in Ann Arbor.
Included in the festivities
will be a concert of 12th-
17th Century music from
the Diaspora (Medieval and
RenaissanceJewish Music).
The concert will be held at
3 p.m. both days in the
School of Music Recital
Hall, and will feature 12th
Century chanting, Sephar-
dic folk songs and
synagogue music by the
17th Century Italian Jew,
Salomone Rossi, performed
in costume by the Col-
legium Music and directed
by Janet Smarr.
The concert is free. Other
activities include plays,
dancing, crafts, food and
concerts, all re-enacting
medieval times.
