chairmen of the 49th gen-
eral assembly of the Council
of Jewish Federations.
The CJF is the umbrella.
organization of local federa-
tions and welfare funds in
the United States and
Canada.

She is on the boards of
Resettlement Service,
Temple Beth El and
Brandeis University's
National Women's Com-
mittee.
Mrs. Marcuse also is a
former director of the Na-
tional Council of Jewish
Women.
Mrs. Brandwine con-
tinues to serve on Federa-
tion's Culture and Educa-
tion Budgeting and Plan-
ning Division which she
chaired for several years.
She is a member of the
board of Women's Division
and has served as division
president.
A director of Jewish Fed-
eration Apartments, Mrs.
Brandwine has served on
Federation's board of gov-
ernors and executive com-
mittee, and is now a
member of its capital needs
committee.
She belongs to Cong.
Bnai David and the Met-
ropolitan Detroit Chap-
ter of Hadassah.
Mrs. Marcuse also is han-
dling the public relations
aspects of the meeting.
