hand-leaded Tiffany lamps,
first achieved acclaim for its
wide variety of sea foods by
the presence of a lobster
tank . . . Cr'abbie Joe's
opened with three-pound
Elmer ruling the waters .. .
but a new waitress, without
realizing, shockingly served
Elmer to a customer . . . His
son, Herman, also a three-
pounder, took over the tank
and survived long enough to
train his three-pound son,
Oscar, now king lobster at
Crabbie Joe's . . . 40,000
lobsters after grandfather
Elmer.
STILL ONE OF the

is The Vineyards on
Franklin Rd. and North-

many thoughts, it is far
from being very expensive

styling and singing of Ray
King, a local keyboard favo-
rite since 1952 . . . Re-
member Tiger Bennie at
Frank Gagen's on W.
McNichols, whose voice was
so bad it was entertaining
just listenifig to his serious-
ness? . . . Ray was playing
downstairs . . . and has a
piece of sheet music auto-
graphed by Tiger Bennie,
who must have been in his
ultimate glory when Ray
asked him for it.
The Vineyards seats 150

brown and orange, tones in
delicate shades . . . Little
