A project of informing delegates to the Republi-
can National Convention regarding Israel's current
status and the need to assure Israel's security through
strengthened friendship with the United States was
inaugurated at the annual meeting of the Zionist
Organization of Detroit, June 25, at which Sidney Sil-
verman was installed for a second term as president.
The installation was conducted by Judge Joseph J.
Pernick. Norma T. Hudosh presided during the por-
tion of the meeting at which a score of men and women
leaders were feted as honorary board members. Mrs.
Sidney Z. Leib, a ZOD vice president, presided. In the
