DETROIT JEWISH NEWS 32 -,Friday, July 4,4980 Navon Declines Second Term OSHGOD , (ZINS) — President Yitzhak Navon told a group of high school students that he would not accept a second term as Is- rael's president. Navon said he would like to return to active political life after his term as president. The Likud Knesset fac- tion is preparing a bill which would not allow former presidents to run for office for four years after they leave office. Navon is a member of the Labor Party and highly popular in Israel.
