3 Wounded in Explosion
in Bnei Brak Grocery Store

TEL AVIV (JTA) -- A
grocer and two of his cus-
tomers were injured when
an explosion ripped through
a grocery shop in Bnei Brak
Monday. One of the injured
was a pregnant woman.
Police suspect terrorist
activity and are trying to
determine how the explo-
sives were brought into the
shop in the religious town-
ship north of Tel Aviv.
A device exploded near a
bus station in the French
Hill quarter of Jerusalem
Monday morning but
caused no casualties.
Police reported that
the body of the third of
three terrorists who tried
to infiltrate Israel by sea
last week was washed up
on the beach near
Nahariya. The bodies of
the other two terrorists
were recovered shortly
after the incident.
Meanwhile, police con-
tinued to search for a sniper
who severely wounded an
Israeli soldier in
Bethlehem, causing him to
lose one eye and for three
Arabs who attacked an Is-
raeli youth in the Old City
of Jerusalem.
A south Lebanese youth
accused of collaborating
with the terrorists who at-
tacked Kibutz Misgav Am
last April, will be brought
before a military court 'for
trial. Ibraham Abdel Karim
Tawil, 21, was detained by
Maj. Saad Haddad's Chris-
tian militia in south Leba-

non and turned over to the
Israelis.
_ He had been a cook em-
ployed by the United Na-
tions Interim Force in
Lebanon (UNIFIL) and al-
legedly admitted helping
the Misgav Am attackers
cross the border into Israel.

Bank Arab mayors said
that the material was of a
type frequently used by
Arab terrorists. The ex-
perts conceded however
that it was also obtaina-
ble by Israelis. •
Shortly after the outrage,
police experts said the exp-
losives were of the type is-
sued to Israel's armed
forces, but could have fallen
into the hands of Arab ter-
rorists.
In a related development,
Shimon Rant, a 73-year-old
retired gym teacher, was
credited with averting a
terrorist bombing on the
beach at Bat Galim near
Haifa last week and ap-
prehending the three per-
petrators.
It also was learned that
an Israeli raiding party
entered south Lebanon last
week and blew up a house
suspected of having been a
lodging place for Palesti-
nian terrorists. The occup-
ants of the house were re-
moved before it was de-
molished, a military
spokesman said.
