Program Offered

NEW YORK — The De-
partment of Youth Activi-
ties of the United
Synagogue of America has
announced the creation of
the USY Year in Israel Pro-
gram, beginning September
1981.
This program will be open
to high school graduates
who are ready to continue
their affiliation with, and
commitment to, the Con-
servative movement. Thi-s
program will be geared
toward leadership training,
with a concentrated study
period in Jerusalem and a
service period of a kibutz or
moshay.
In addition to specific
leadership skills, courses
will include Hebrew lan-
guage, Bible study, theories,
of informal education,
Jewish history-and Zionism.
College credits may be re-
ceived for successful com-
pletion of this course.
