Public Torah Gathering Set on Behalf of.Agudath Israel Agudath Israel of Greater Detroit will have a public Torah gathering for men and women to mark its re- organization 1:30 p.m. Sun- day at Cong. Bnai Israel- Beth Yehuda. The meeting will be occa- sion to discuss the re- establishment of Agudath Israel here and its benefits. Guest speaker will be Novominsker Rebbe, Shlita, Rabbi Yaakov Per- low, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Samson Raphael Hirsch in New York. Rabbi Perlow is a member of the presidium of Agudath Israel of America. He will give a Torah discourse. At the Torah gathering, 30 boys will be honored and given prizes for their achievements in memorizing hundreds of Mishnayot. The boys are members of Pirchei Agudath Israel, the youth branch, directed by Chaim Daskal. Besides learning Mishnayot, the RABBI PERLOW group holds weekly Shabat meetings, sponsors a boys choir and other activities.
