Beth Abraham Hillel Moses of West Bloom- field announces that Barry V. Levine has been named director of education and youth. Levine will serve as the principal of the synagogue's weekday and Sunday morning religious classes and supervise its youth program. Levine was educated at Yeshivath Beth Yehudah. Since 1967, he has been an administrator in the De- troit Public Schools, super- visor of student teachers in English at Wayne State University and University of Detroit, and has an asso- ciate professorship at Oak- land Community College; was head of the' elective de- partment for Cranbrook School's summer program and was editor of the Cran- brook Literary magazine. BARRY LEVINE Levine was principal of Hillel Day School from 1974 to 1975, director of youth at Cong. Shaarey Zedek will open a branch religious school in West Bloomfield this fall. Classes for Shaarey Zedek students vho live in that area will be held in the Orchard Lake Middle School. The branch school will 'sold classes from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thurs- days. All students will attend classes on Sunday at the synagogue building, 27375 Bell Road. This schedule will affect grades one through eight only. High school students will continue to meet from 6:15 to 8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the synagogue.
