Dr. Maeir was graduated
from Yeshiva University
with a BA in chemistry. His
medical studies were pur-

the University of Rochester
he was awarded specialty

Yeshiva University. He
eventually became profes-

During the Korean War,
Prof. Maeir served with the

Jerusalem in 1963-1964
and was visiting Ful-

and the University of
Madrid during that time.
Prof. Maeir assumed the

70-year history.
He has embarked on a
five-year program of the de-

meet the growing medical
needs of Jerusalem since its
population explosion follow-
