for Magazine

NEW YORK — Painter
Raphael Soyer has provided
the illustration for one of his
father's (writer Abraham
Shoyer) stories in the 18th
anniversary issue of Olam
Hadash Magazine.
The article, based on the
Bible story of Balaam and
his talking donkey, was
given to Asher Wolk,
the publisher of the chil-
dren's magazine some 40
years ago by Shoyer. The
illustration was done by
Soyer as a token of appre-
ciation to the magazine, and
its publisher.
