Let no man value at a lit-
tle price a virtuous woman's
counsel.

LISTENING
POST

THIS IS FOR the ladies
. . . (and a lot of men, too) .. .
How many times have you
looked in the mirror before
going out on a date and
wished you could wish those
wrinkles away? . .
Guess what . . . It doesn't
take a wish now . . . not even
a face lift . . . Elizabeth Lipp
at Scientific Skin Care &
Electrolysis will actually
sell a vial to put on at home
with your finger tips just be-
fore going out . . . and poof
. . . like Cinderella, those
wrinkles will disappear for
six to eight hours . . . Noth-
ing harmful either . . . The
vials can be used as often as
wanted . . . natural sub-
stance does the trick.
Elizabeth is from the
European school of beauty
treatments . . . from head to
toe . . . facials of all kinds
. . . even foam that feels like
somebody threw a pie in
your face .. . but when re-
moved, every pore has been
cleansed . . . Elizabeth
learned her trade at home in.
Vienna . . . and came to the
United States in 1957 to
practice what she studied
. . . intending to return.
A lot of gals 'n guys are
mighty glad she didn't go
back . . . Elizabeth has be-
come one of the foremost ex-
ponents around' in skin
beauty care.
REUNION DEPT. .. .
1945, 700-person graduat-
ing class of Central High
holds its 35th anniversary
reunion 8 p.m. May 10 at.
Hamilton Place . . . Iris
Bank Adelson and Ron
Stone are chairpersons of
the buffet dinner-dance .. .
For more info, call Allen
Sipher, 355-3100 or 478-
5554.
CHILDREN
AF-
FLICTED with crippl-
ing diseases require con-
tinuing programs of aca-
demics and therapy
throughout the summer .. .
No September to June
"normal" school for them.
This is why a program
like Avery Parent Or-
thopedic Center raises
funds to send Oak Park's
Avery School children to
summer camp.
The group will have a
spring plant sale, May
17-18, at Avery School on
Lincoln.
The APOC folks will also
have a booth open at the
Berkley Days Fair on the
same weekend.
SAM BRAVERMAN,
who will be honored as Man
Of The Year by Oakland-
Century Lodge, Bnai Brith,
May 18, for Israel Bonds, at
Adat Shalom Synagogue .. .
recently helped donate the
building on Southfield and
101/2 Mile Rd. to the Bnai
Brith . . . The affair will be a
dinner-dance.
MAIL DEPT. . . . "The
City of Southfield has as-
sured me that we will have a
sidewalk put down for us on
Greenfield between 10 Mile
and Lincoln Drive . . . They

told me it will be down this
summer and we won't be
hurting our feet and ankles
anymore. It sure will be a
help for us senior citizens!
Thanks to the council and
people of Southfield. We
only hope the wait isn't too
long for this Heavenly
thing."
—Lillian Rosen
THIS IS SECOND year
that Jewish War Veterans
Bowling League gives its
last night of bowling free to
the Retarded Adults Group
of Jewish Community Cen-
ter, headed by Chuck
Shanaman.
Each of the bowlers is
given a trophy for par-
. ticipating in the "tourna-
ment" . . . This year, May
14, between 6:45 and 9 p.m.,
60 bowlers are expected to
take part . . . with rental
shoes again donated by
West Bloomfield Lanes.
JWV bowling president is
Willie Geer . . . and Udo
Salk is evening chairman.
LAST YEAR, Marshall
"Butch" Bell of E.F. Hutton
was instrumental in his
company donating $100 to
the Knights of Pythias
Children's Camp at Burt
Lake for underprivileged
children . . . through the
info • given him by dad
Charles Bell, past chancel-
lor commander of K of P 55
. . . This year again,
through Marshall's efforts,
E.F. Hutton Co. has given
another $100 to thelc of P
Children's Camp.
- FAVORITE PEOPLE
Dept. . . . Channel 7 news-
caster Jack McCarthy and
wife Carole . . . Reason why,
by the way, that Jack
doesn't wear those dark
glasses anymore is because
of the "eye job" done on his
lids in February . . . Hand-
some Jack looks even better
without glasses.
LOOKING BACK On
Columns of Yesteryears .. .
NOV. 10, 1967 . . . "Geri
Diamond was given a ticket
recently and .neglected to
have it paid . . . Finally a
warning came to the house
— send $5 or get a warrant
for arrest . . . Geri told
husband Dave to pay the
ticket for her . . . He adam-
antly refused .. . that is,
until remembering a very
important thing . . . the car
was registered in his name!"
THE DETROITERS
CLUB in Phoenix, Arix., is
"alive and well" writes a
reader who returned after a
month's visit in Scottsdale
. . . They are aware of about
65 families from this area.
