THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Barney Barnett Barney Barnett, one of the oldest bail bondsmen in the country, died April 18 at age 82. Born in London, England, Mr. Barnett represented the bonding division of the U.S. Fidelity and Trust Co. for 50 years. He was a member of Temple Israel, past president of the Hannah Schloss Old Timers and a past president of the Jewish House of Shelter. Mr. Barnett was a life member of Union Lodge of `tie Masons and held mem- rship the Detroit Con- sistory and Moslem Shrine.
