Sam Cohodas Guest of Honor at Shaare Zedek Hospital Event

Sam Cohodas of Ishpem-
ing, Mich., will be the guest
of honor at the annual
dinner of the Detroit
Friends of Shaare Zedek
Hospital in Jerusalem,
which will take place May
29 at the Sheraton-
Southfield Hotel.
Five brothers, Hyman,
Morris, Harry, Sam and
Max developed the Cohodas
Brothers Co. into one of the
nation's largest produce dis-
tributors.
Sam Cohodas is also
chairman of the board of the

Michigan Financial Corp., a
holding company for eight
banks.
The Cohodas family
has made major contri-
butions to the Bay Cliff
Health Camp, a camp for
undernourished chil-
dren; the Bell Memorial
Hospital in Ishpeming,
and the Northern Michi-
gan University in Mar-
quette.
