THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Allied Campaign Reaches $15.2 Million With three weeks to go before the closing of the 1980 Allied Jewish Cam- paign - Israel Emergency Fund, the total to date an- nounced at the first re- port meeting last Sunday is $15,216,490, with an addi- tional $4,975,977 pledged for Project Renewal. Campaign division lead- ers and workers were ad- vised that the coming weeks will determine the success of the 1980 undertaking and were urged to complete their assignments by the second report meeting on April 27. Abbie Ben-Ari, a former member of the Israel dele- gation to the United Na- tions, will be the guest speaker at the second report meeting, -9:45 a.m. April 27 at Cong. Bnai David. Ben-Ari will address the Campaign leaders and workers at the conti- nental breakfast after a midway progress report is made by the chairmen of the nine Campaign di- visions.
