Forensic Association
Championship Debates.
Alan also placed third
among 39 finalists in the
John S. Knight Debate Con-
test sponsored by the De-
troit Free Press . . . The
finalists were chosen from
more than 7,000 students
around the state . . . He re-
ceived a $750 scholarship to
be used at the school of his
choice . . . which will be
University of Michigan.•

wonderful woman . . . Syl-
via Brown (Harry), execu-
tive director of the Chil-
dren's Leukemia Founda-
tion of Michigan . . . It is be-
cause of Sylvia's grand ways
that such strides are being
